COVERED BAZAAR

One of the most exclusive architectural symbols of Viaport, Via Covered Bazaar has one of the largest domes in Turkey. The dome, which was built and decorated with a top-level craftsmanship, is 34 meters in diameter and 10 meter tall. The dome was adorned elaborately by 70 artisans from the Ministry of Culture and completed in 120 days in total. The dome, inspired by the dome of Valide Sultan Mosque at Dolmabahce, used one of a kind, gothic-style patterns, which cannot be seen anywhere in Turkey.

The majestic gate of Via Covered Bazaar was designed with an inspiration from Nuruosmaniye entrance of the Grand Bazaar and was carved from Bayburt stone and engraved by Master Metin who is one of the artisans of Bayburt. Another feature of Via Covered Bazaar is that it has a powerful acoustic sound system.
